RXG – Lifelong anonymity injunction

Our client, RXG, was granted lifelong anonymity by the High Court on 29 July 2019.  RXG is the youngest person ever to have been convicted of a terrorism offence in the UK.  This case is only fifth time the court has granted an injunction of this kind in almost 20 years.  Lochlinn Parker, a partner and the head of our Civil Liberties and Human Rights department, acted for RXG.  Counsel were Edward Fitzgerald QC and Adam Straw of Doughty Street Chambers.

No matter relating to RXG can, during his lifetime, be included in any publication if it is likely to lead members of the public to identify him as (1) the defendant in the criminal proceedings; and/or (2) the claimant in the injunction proceedings.
