The Firm

ITN Solicitors is a leading law firm with offices in the City (Tower Hill), East London, Oxford, Birmingham and Manchester. We have departments in Children & Family Law, Crime, Human Rights, Public Law, International Law, Immigration and Actions Against the Police. ITN has a large client base and conducts a significant proportion of its work on behalf of private clients. In addition it maintains LAA contracts in 5 disciplines.

ITN has built an international reputation for the work it undertakes which is often high profile. Much of ITN’s work is reported in both domestic and international media.

The Department

The Children and Family Department has a reputation for dealing with unusual and complex areas of children law including radicalisation and non accidental cases. The firm receives regular instructions from Children’s Guardians. The firm is developing and expanding its Divorce & Finance work.

The Applicant Specification

 Child care/family Solicitor

  • Preferably Member of the Law Society’s Children Panel or working towards becoming a member. Minimum 2 years PQE.
  • Must be able to carry out his/her own advocacy
  • Experience in both Public and Private Children Law cases
  • Have a good academic background
  • Preparing and managing legal aid and private client cases
  • Shares ITN’s commitment to providing clients a first class service

The Role

The successful applicant will become a valued member of our driven Children & Family team and the role will include:

  • Preparing family cases
  • Managing a busy case load
  • Advocacy at Court
  • Building an own client following
  • Working individually or as part of a team as necessary

We are looking for hard-working and proactive individuals who are able to use their initiative and develop their own caseload. A positive attitude and an active interest in these areas of law are essential.
