Rashad Nawaz is accredited under the Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme with supervisor status and has more than 15 years’ experience working as an immigration lawyer.
Prior to joining ITN Solicitors Rashad worked in both the not for profit and private sectors where he undertook work in all aspects of Immigration, asylum, EEA, Human Rights and nationality law. Rashad built up a specialism in complex asylum cases, detention, bail, removal and deportation cases. Rashad also has extensive knowledge and experience of the full spectrum of entry clearance applications, appeal work and regularly appears before the First-tier Tier Tribunal. Recent examples of casework include a successful returning residence application where the applicant had been outside the UK for 7 years and a human rights application for a same-sex couple who had struggled to regularize their status for 14 years.
Rashad undertakes judicial review work; recently he was involved in a nationality judicial review application in the Administrative Court where the Secretary of State personally intervened to settle the claim; he approved a nationality application where the Home Office had delayed making a decision for over 5 years.
Rashad has previously completed a BA and Masters degree from SOAS University and CPE from Westminster University.
