Priyanka joined ITN Solicitors as a paralegal in the Family Department and subsequently completed her Training Contract at the firm. During this time, Priyanka assisted fee earners in a wide variety of cases including high profile and media reported cases at the Royal Courts of Justice.

Upon qualification as solicitor in March 2019, Priyanka has dealt with a variety of different aspects of family law including children, matrimonial finance matters and disputes that may arise following the breakdown of relationships for unmarried couples. Priyanka has expertise in advising and assisting clients in respect of financial matters after the breakdown of a relationship or marriage. Priyanka also advises clients in matrimonial finance remedy matters involving assets overseas as well as third party interests. Priyanka has expertise in advising clients upon the breakdown of relationships in respect of unmarried couples in relation to disputes relating to property or claims for the benefit of any children.

Priyanka regularly represents and advises clients on private and public law children matters including international child abduction and leave to remove cases. Priyanka is regularly instructed to represent individuals in respect of disputes involving who children are to live with and spend time with as well as matters relating to parental responsibility, ‘Prohibitive’ and ‘Specific Issue’ Orders.

Priyanka has expertise in dealing with cases relating to domestic abuse, often making  applications and representing vulnerable clients at court in respect of protective orders such as Non-Molestation and Occupation orders  under the Family Law Act 1996. Priyanka also provides voluntary advice at a legal clinic at Latin American Women’s Aid (LAWA).

Priyanka is skilled in achieving successful outcomes for clients both in and out of court. She adopts an empathetic and professional approach, tailoring her advice on a case by case basis depending on the client’s individual circumstances.

Priyanka is a member of the Resolution Dispute Resolution Committee and the Training and Learning Sub Committee.

  • Successfully representing wife in securing financial settlement in her application for financial remedy after an overseas divorce under Matrimonial and Family Proceedings Act 1984;
  • Representing parents and successfully restoring contact and obtaining child arrangements orders when contact has been withdrawn by the other party or significantly limited by one party;
  • Assisted with representing a client in High Court Wardship proceedings;
