Homelessness
If you are homeless or are worried about becoming homeless, our housing law department may be able to help you.
Our housing law department may be able to help you in a number of ways.
We may be able to help you in getting assistance from your local authority. Local authorities have a legal duty to help some people with their housing. Our housing law department can assist you in determining whether your local authority is required by law to provide you with such help.
In the event that you have not been provided with the appropriate assistance by your local authority when such assistance ought to have been provided, our housing law department may also be able to assist you in challenging such a decision of the local authority. This may be done by carrying out an internal review, appeal in the County Court or, if appropriate, by way of judicial review proceedings.
