Victims of Crime

Being a victim of crime can be devastating. Not only do the consequences of crime affect the victim but can also have a wider impact on family and friends.

When the mechanisms of the criminal justice system slowly roll forward it can leave the victim feeling helpless and ignored. On occasions decisions can be made by the prosecution which compound the distress felt by the victim.

Lawyers at ITN have a great deal of experience in representing people accused of crime but we also assist and represent the interests of those who are the victims of crime.

We are able to help explain your position as a complainant in a criminal case to the police and Crown Prosecution Service. We are able to help you hold the State to account when it fails to bring you justice as a victim.

We understand that being the victim of a crime can be difficult but you shouldn’t feel alone during such a time. Our initial advice is always free of charge.
